Our Original Productions prioritise atmosphere, talent, and craft—light, sound, music, and story all working together to create compelling entertainment. Theatre should feel like a gig—electric, accessible, and unapologetically alive. Where audiences see their own vulnerabilities reflected and leave feeling moved, entertained, and connected.
Our Events bring people together through creativity, collaboration, and storytelling. Whether it's crafting a full film concept in Let’s Write a Movie*, developing performance skills at our Weekend Drama School, or finding inspiration and discipline in our Writers’ Cabin, our events are designed to be engaging, practical, and fun. We strip away the unnecessary and focus on what matters—helping participants explore, create, and grow in a supportive and energising environment.

Creative Director, Writer, Composer, Director
The reason why we are all here… Hywel is the founder of Low Fat Productions.
Hywel has immersed himself in various creative endeavours throughout his career, including being an award-winning theatre director, radio presenter, screenwriter, business advisor, rabbit hotel owner, prolific traveller, and production company director. Some would say he’s a professional at avoiding ‘proper’ work. However, as a rare ‘Advocate’ personality type he actually is compelled to make the maximum impact doing things he feels are useful to the world. Which often appear to be ‘different’ - therefore ‘not a proper job’.
Hywel’s innovative and unique approach to teaching creative skills and his theoretical and practical knowledge of storytelling have made him an excellent writer.
Spraywatch the Musical, his first original musical debuted in Manchester in October 2024 to rave reviews. As well as taking Spraywatch to the next level, he is currently working on several other new musicals.

Producer, Event Manager, Actor
Abbie has a deep passion for live theatre and events.
Her Event Management career has taken her around the globe. Aside from being a lynchpin in the creation of the Manchester Pride festival for three years, she has worked across multiple and various industries, including live music, retail, finance, international development and education. She even managed an event at the United Nations.
Her experience in theatre has taken her to the Edinburgh Fringe and National Theatre Festival. In her role as Producer, her operational leadership has been instrumental in shaping Spraywatch’s production strategy, helping to align the creative vision with sustainable business planning, audience growth, and long-term success.

Wayne is a producer and strategic investor on Spraywatch: a Beautiful Rescue, playing a pivotal role in bringing the musical from concept to stage. With a sharp commercial mind and years of leadership experience in senior business roles — including positions as Managing Director and Commercial Manager — Wayne brings a strategic focus to the project that goes beyond financing.
